Lockdown Coronavirus Poem

Some people wasted their time during the lockdown whereas some spent their time learning new skills. This small poem written by me is a salute to those who prepared themselves in lockdown no matter what their circumstances were. They became their better selves which feels like they became their best selves!

The entire city is empty

but I am feeling whole

nor afraid nor terrified

but feeling energized

''Everything happens for a good reason''

Figure of speech

A figure of speech is a word or phrase which is used to create a effect in a non-literal way. This effect may be rhetorical*( art of speaking or writing effectively). The deliberate arrangement is words is made to achieve something poetic and imagery as in the use of language suggests a visual picture and make the idea more vivid. 1. Who invented school? Horace Mann invented school and what is today the United States' modern school system. He is an American educational reformer, Slavery abolitionist and a Whig politician. He is known for his commitment of promoting public education. No one did more than he to establish in the minds of the American people the conception that education should be universal, non-sectarian, free, and that its aims should be social efficiency, civic virtue , and character, rather than mere learning or the advancement of sectarian ends In 1838, he founded and edited The Common School Journal . However, it is unfortunate that the poor of the country are not free from fear, even decades after the independence. Their actions, work, etc. are still under pressure, they are under the mercy of the bureaucratic system. If the downtrodden farmers could be released from fear the rest everything would be fixed.
